The first floor of the Akita Inu Kaikan is the headquarters of the Akita Inu Preservation Society, where pedigrees are prepared, exhibitions are held, and newsletters are published.
The third floor houses the Akita Inu Museum, the only dog museum in Japan managed by a breed organization.
